Number 1. is correct because we need the verb 'affect' for the sentence to be grammatically accurate. Well done to all of you who got that! 👏

Some good answers here! The correct answer is option 2. 'Cough up' means to pay for something, especially when you don't want or are reluctant to do so. 💸

Hi everyone,
A simple way to think about this is that if we 'lend' something, we give it (to someone else).
If we borrow something, we take it (from someone else).
"Can you borrow me ten pounds" is not correct.
We need to say "can you lend me ten pounds".

We can use 'out' and 'off' to make all these phrasal verbs.

give out
put off
call off

Can you use any of the words in a sentence?

Thanks for all your answers! ‘Bread’ is uncountable, so you can’t say ‘a bread’. There are several ways to fix this, including:
•Did you buy some bread?
•Did you buy any bread?
•Did you buy bread?
•Did you buy a loaf of bread?
•Did you buy the bread?
