Reel 1 from Cinematic is out tomorrow!

“The 5th of July” is a song off Reel 1 about the day I was born. I’m fascinated with the idea that we all begin life on a certain day, but since we don’t remember the events of that day, we have to rely on the descriptions of the people who were there. When you listen to the song, I hope it leaves you feeling thankful for life and the people who brought you into this world.

"Fiji Water" is a song off Reel 1 that I wrote about the start of my career. I hope it reminds you that while life is full of things that happen for reasons you might not understand, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone can lead to positive change that you could have never imagined.

When I was in college, I worked for Coca-Cola in a shipping warehouse. I ran a pallet jack and filled orders for local businesses. I was grateful for the job opportunity, but as an aspiring artist, I instinctively knew it wasn’t the right fit for my personality. It’s an extraordinary feeling to meet the gaze of someone you’ve never seen before and feel a strange connection. A few years ago I saw someone at a movie theater and something inside me said, “Adam, you MUST talk to this person.” The idea of introducing myself to a stranger was contrary to my personality, but the impulse was so strong, I couldn’t ignore it. I followed my heart in that moment, and in return, my life was changed. Watch "All My Friends" at the link in my bio!

While I never stood on a street corner and played guitar for passersby, my version of that was performing with friends in local bands at community centers and county fairs. I remember a time when making music professionally felt way beyond my reach and thus, I have a much deeper appreciation for what I get to do now. Watch "All My Friends" now at the link in my bio!
